  1. Backup your iPhone XS to your computer or use Apple's iCloud Backup Service. This way all your data can be transferred over to your new device.
  2. Erase your iPhone XS and be sure to to confirm Find my iPhone has been turned off.
  3. If you're on a CDMA network such as Verizon / Sprint, you may need to call them to deactivate your line from the device.
