Sell your Sony Playstation Game Console

1. Check the back of your console:
   • For PS4 (CUH-10xx, CUH-11xx, CUH-12xx models) - Look near the bottom left chassis.
   • For PS4 Slim (CUH-20xx models) - Look underneath the lip above the power port (flip the console over).
   • For PS4 Pro (CUH-70xx models) - The model number is on the spine, above the system ports. In all cases, the model number will start with "CUH-" followed by four numbers and a letter.
   • For PS5 - Positioned vertically, the model number will be located on a sticker there. You might need to remove the stand first (if attached) to reveal the label. The model number starts with "CFI-" followed by a series of numbers and a letter.
2. Look at the original packaging or receipt: The model number might also be printed there.

Before selling your PlayStation, reset it to wipe your data and protect privacy. Here's the quick guide:

1. Back up saves (optional): Use USB storage or PS Plus cloud (subscription needed) if you want to keep game progress.
2. Reset via Settings: Go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 (or PS5). Choose Full (recommended) to erase everything. Confirm and wait for the reset to complete.
3. Reset via Safe Mode (if needed): If your console won't boot normally, follow steps 1-5 below:
   1. Power Down: Completely turn off your PS4/PS5 (holding power button for 7(for PS4) or 3(for PS5) seconds until beeps).
   2. Enter Safe Mode: Hold power button again until two beeps (one initial, one after 7 seconds). Don't release after first beep.
   3. Connect Controller: Connect your controller with a USB cable and press the PS button.
   4. Reset Option: Choose "Initialize PS4 (or PS5)" for a full wipe (recommended for selling).
   5. Confirm & Wait: Confirm the reset (Full) and wait for the process to finish. Your PlayStation will restart automatically

• Remember: This erases all user data.
